Their dashboard
When a client logs in at ptlabapp.com/login, they see their dashboard with today's scheduled workout (if any), upcoming workouts, progress stats, and the daily check-in form. They don't see their own profile data — just what's relevant to training.
Starting a workout
They tap Start Workout on today's routine. The workout page shows every exercise, their 'last time' reference, and set-by-set inputs for weight and reps. They check off each set as they complete it.
What they can do
- Log every set individually (weight, reps, completion)
- See their 'last time' reference for every exercise they've done before
- View personal records and progress history
- Rate the session and add overall comments when they finish
- Submit daily check-ins (soreness, mood, sleep)
- Message you through the portal
- Request a reschedule on an upcoming workout
- Upload photos or form videos with messages or check-ins
What they can't do
- Generate their own routines (that's a self-coached feature, not a coached client)
- Edit their own profile (you have to update it on the coach side)
- See other clients or your other data
- Access AI features (those are for you as the coach)
Walking a new client through it
The first time a client logs in, they see a welcome message explaining the portal. If you want to walk them through it live (especially for older clients or people new to fitness apps), share your screen and show them:
- How to open today's workout
- How to log a set (tap the weight, type, tap reps, type, check the box)
- Where to find the 'last time' reference
- How to submit a check-in
- How to send you a message
Tip
Clients who log per-set (instead of just marking 'complete') get dramatically better AI programming because the AI can see exactly what they did. In their first session, emphasize that logging actual weights and reps takes 10 extra seconds and makes every future workout better.
