Deleting your account

What happens when you delete, what gets preserved, and the deletion hold.

Updated April 12, 2026

How to delete your account

  1. Go to Settings (the Settings link in the header).
  2. Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section.
  3. Click Delete My Account under the red warning.
  4. Confirm twice — it's a permanent action.

What gets deleted immediately

  • Your profile (name, email, goals, restrictions, equipment)
  • All routines and workout history
  • All program data and scheduled entries
  • All daily check-ins
  • All AI coach feedback
  • All uploaded files
  • All messages
  • Your active session

What gets retained briefly (the deletion hold)

Free users who delete their account have a single thing retained until their cycle ends: a record of their email and the AI credits they had used. This is not your personal data — it's a bookkeeping record that prevents abuse.

Here's why. Without this, a free user could delete their account every time they hit the 3-credit cap, immediately re-signup with the same email, and get fresh credits. The deletion hold means if you delete and re-signup with the same email before your cycle ends, your old credit usage carries forward to the new account. After the cycle ends, the hold expires and the record is removed.

Paid users

If you're a paid user, there's no deletion hold. You can delete and re-signup freely. The abuse vector doesn't exist for paid accounts because you're already paying.

Data export before deleting

If you want a copy of your data before deleting, use Request Data Export in the same Data & Privacy section. You'll get an email with a JSON file containing your profile, workouts, check-ins, feedback, and programs.

Important

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo. Export your data first if you might want it back.
